I've spent years refining designs because I refuse to accept "good enough." I don't copy someone else's work. I don't chase trends. I engineer solutions, obsess over details, and keep refining them until they're right. Whether it's a neck carve, bridge geometry, pickup layout, or finish schedule, I don't stop because it's finished—I stop because it's correct.

I was trained by some of the finest luthiers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area during the 1980s. I've been building and repairing guitars since 1986 and performing professionally since 1985. Decades of building, repairing, and playing have taught me that great guitars aren't accidents. They're the result of thousands of deliberate decisions, each one affecting how an instrument feels, responds, and inspires the player.

I respect the classics, but I'm not interested in copying them. My goal is to understand why they work, improve where improvement is possible, and build instruments that honor tradition without being limited by it.

Today, every Franklin guitar is built one at a time, by my hands, from the first design conversation to the final setup. There are no production quotas, no shortcuts, and no compromises made for efficiency. If I couldn't walk on stage with it tonight, it doesn't leave my shop.
